- You can make a one-time gift OR a recurring monthly gift through your DAF.
- You can give long-term appreciated assets directly to many Donor Advised Funds, eliminating the capital gains tax.
- There are a wide range of financial assets that can be accepted by your DAF, including stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, to name a few.
You can also create a lasting legacy by naming Roots Ethiopia the beneficiary of the entire account or a percentage of the fund. With a percentage, you can create a family legacy of giving by naming your loved ones as your successor to continue recommending grants to charitable organizations. How to Give Through Your DAF
- Log in to your DAF account: Access your DAF through your sponsoring organization (e.g., Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable).
- Recommend a grant: Search for our organization by name or use our Tax ID (EIN) number: 46-152-7090
- Enter grant details: Specify the amount you wish to donate and any special instructions.
- Submit your recommendation: Your DAF sponsor will process the grant and send the funds to us.
