Schools with the right materials and resources have the power to provide incredible educational opportunities for students. School Improvement Projects offer the support under-resourced, rural schools need to offer quality education to their students.
What are School Improvement Projects?
When you donate to School Improvement Projects, you provide furniture, equipment, curriculum materials, professional development for teachers and staff, school libraries, hands-on science materials, and more to under-resourced, rural schools.
Why are School Improvement Projects so important?
School Improvement Projects are the perfect complement to School Sponsorships and represent Roots Ethiopia’s comprehensive strategy to unite individual and institutional support. We build long-term relationships with School Improvement Project schools in order to support, encourage, and respond to school needs. Each project reflects the feedback and input of the community.

Meet Yemisarech, a student at Mugunja School. We partnered with Mugunja School on a School Improvement Project – Yemisarech now enjoys new textbooks, robust reference materials, improved classroom facilities, and teachers motivated by professional development.
Yemisarech loves chemistry and now conducts hands-on experiments in Mugunja’s new science lab!
